What makes somewhere an unusual place to stay? When we talk about somewhere being an unusual place to stay, you have to bear in mind that “normal” for us is a shepherds on a mountaintop. So when we say unusual, we really mean it. There’s a cabin that gets towed out onto a frozen lake by skidoo, a recreation iron-age roundhouse, an old firetruck, a bird’s nest and a beehive. For us, it’s the weirder the better.

What do I need to take to an unusual place to stay? Very little. While our glamping places can be unusual in their design, we still make sure the basics are taken care of. All our places are different, but we tell you honestly and openly what to expect, whether you’ll be washing under a bucket shower or lounging in a balcony jacuzzi. All you need is a change of clothes, and not even that if you’re really slumming it for the weekend.
